Operate your business under JASKO’s motor carrier authority with access to refrigerated freight, dispatch support, fuel and purchasing programs, and optional insurance services. The following information explains the standard program and the items contractors should review before signing an agreement.
Program Overview
Available Freight
- JASKO operates primarily in long-haul refrigerated transportation throughout the United States.
- Opportunities may include refrigerated freight, dry van, flatbed, and approved power-only arrangements, depending on equipment and available loads.

- Contractors remain responsible for their business expenses, taxes, and obligations under the signed agreement.
- No specific revenue, mileage, or load volume is guaranteed.

- All loads must be properly approved and booked under JASKO’s established process.
- Contractors may not independently bind JASKO to unauthorized freight agreements.
Planning Considerations
- Available freight depends on location, equipment, timing, and market demand.
- Deadhead, fuel expenses, tolls, and operating costs should be considered when selecting loads.
- Dispatch arrangements and responsibilities are documented in the contractor agreement.
Contractor-Owned or Independently Rented Trailer — 85%
- Operate with an approved refrigerated trailer, dry van, or flatbed.
- The contractor is responsible for trailer ownership or rental expenses, maintenance, registration, and applicable insurance.
- Trailer equipment must meet JASKO’s safety and customer requirements.

- Eligible contractors may use an available JASKO refrigerated trailer.
- No separate trailer rental charge applies under the standard 75% compensation arrangement.
- JASKO provides routine trailer maintenance and trailer insurance.
- The contractor pays for reefer fuel and contractually assigned damage or expenses.
- Equipment must be returned to the designated location and in the condition required by the agreement, allowing for ordinary wear and tear.
Trailer Security
- The general $2,500 security escrow applies to every contractor, regardless of trailer selection.
- Out-of-state contractors using JASKO trailers are subject to an additional $2,500 trailer security escrow, which helps secure equipment return and authorized recovery expenses, including applicable towing, storage, or recovery costs.
- Arizona-based contractors using JASKO trailers do not pay an additional trailer escrow.
