Company driver benefits

Driver Benefits & Support

More than miles. More than a paycheck — paid time off, weekly payroll, late-model equipment, and a team behind every load.

Professional drivers look beyond the mileage rate when choosing a carrier. Paid time off, dependable equipment, timely payroll, communication, and reliable operational support all shape the job. JASKO's company-driver program is built around straightforward compensation, practical benefits, and the resources drivers need to work safely and professionally.

What JASKO Provides

Paid Vacation

Five paid vacation days annually for eligible company drivers after one year of employment. Vacation is separate from regular home time and is coordinated in advance with dispatch.

Paid Holidays

Six paid holidays annually: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Eligible drivers receive holiday pay whether on an assigned load or approved home time, and you do not have to drive on a holiday to qualify — though a paid holiday does not guarantee a day off from scheduled assignments.

Weekly ACH Pay

Company drivers are paid weekly by direct deposit — reliable, predictable payroll.

Late-Model Equipment

Volvo VNL 860 and Peterbilt 579 tractors with Utility refrigerated trailers.

Dispatch Support

Freight and trip coordination from a dispatch team that plans with you — and answers.

Driver Best Practices

Safety and operating tools, forms, and references — all in the Driver Best Practices library.

The Details

JASKO company drivers are paid on a mileage-based structure with a per diem component, under the applicable driver-pay program. Your compensation terms are reviewed with recruiting and confirmed before employment — the structure is explained plainly, with qualifying per diem of up to $0.10 CPM included within the total CPM rate.

Certain assignments and circumstances may qualify for additional compensation under JASKO's driver-pay policies — including detention, layover, breakdown-related time, and local assignments. Two further programs, a Peterbilt incentive and Trailer Drop Pay, are in development. They are not yet approved compensation and are not advertised as such; recruiting will tell you honestly what is current.

We work with drivers to coordinate home time around freight availability, operating regions, customer commitments, and scheduling requirements. Our working target is approximately seven days out for every one and a half days home — a planning target, not a guaranteed schedule. Home-time expectations are discussed before employment so you understand the nature of the operation before you commit.

The fleet pairs Volvo VNL 860 and Peterbilt 579 tractors with Utility 3000R refrigerated trailers. The emphasis is preventive maintenance, regular inspections, equipment care, and coordination of necessary repairs — maintenance is coordinated through our Buckeye yard, where our primary shop runs its mobile operation on site.

JASKO uses Motive electronic logging, digital communication, electronic document submission, and refrigerated-equipment monitoring to support drivers and protect freight. During orientation you receive instructions on the required applications, operating procedures, and company expectations.

Does JASKO offer health insurance or a retirement plan? Not at this time. JASKO does not offer medical, dental, or vision insurance or a 401(k)/retirement plan. The company-driver program centers on paid vacation, paid holidays, weekly pay, late-model equipment, and operational support — we would rather state that plainly than let you assume otherwise.

When do I become eligible for paid vacation and holidays? Eligibility, covered holidays, and scheduling follow company policy. Vacation eligibility begins after one year of employment (five days annually); the six paid holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Do owner-operators receive these benefits? No — this page covers company drivers. Contractors operate under their own agreement; see the Owner-Operators page.

How is vacation scheduled? Coordinate requested time off in advance so dispatch can plan freight around it.

JASKO Enterprises, Inc. maintains commercial insurance for its motor carrier operations.

Company drivers receive information during orientation about applicable workplace injury coverage, accident reporting procedures, and their responsibilities when operating company equipment.

Commercial automobile and cargo insurance protect against covered transportation-related risks, subject to policy terms and conditions. They are not substitutes for personal medical insurance.

JASKO does not currently offer employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, or retirement benefits.
