ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• ☐ Safely operate a Class A combination vehicle over long distances
• ☐ Inspect tractor trailer and safety equipment
• ☐ Enter and exit tractor and trailer safely
• ☐ Couple and uncouple tractor and trailer
• ☐ Handle doors landing gear load locks straps seals and tire chains
• ☐ Monitor reefer settings alarms fuel level and cargo temperature
• ☐ Maintain HOS and ELD records
• ☐ Read shipping documents signs instructions and electronic messages
• ☐ Communicate timely status delays accidents defects and emergencies
• ☐ Work irregular schedules including nights weekends and holidays as assigned
• ☐ Remain away from home consistent with the OTR assignment
• ☐ Comply with customer and facility safety and security requirements
• ☐ Perform other lawful duties within the position
